AI readiness: find out what to automate before you buy anything

Every vendor says you need AI; few can say where it pays in your business. An AI readiness engagement maps your operations, scores each process for automation payback, and hands you a sequenced roadmap — so your first AI project is the one that pays, not the one best marketed.

What it is

What is an AI readiness assessment?

An AI readiness assessment is a structured review of your business — processes, data, tools and team — that identifies where AI and automation would genuinely pay: which tasks eat hours, which decisions wait on missing information, which customer moments leak revenue. The output is a scored, sequenced roadmap with a pilot recommendation, whether the build then runs through our AI and automation teams or yours.

Who it’s for

Is this for your business?

  • Owners and managers being pitched “AI solutions” weekly, with no framework to judge what’s real for their business.
  • Businesses whose teams drown in repetitive admin that nobody has systematically mapped.
  • Companies that tried a tool or two, saw little change, and want a plan instead of another subscription.
Problems we solve

Sound familiar?

“Everyone says AI, nobody says where”

Generic advice can’t find your payback. We map your actual workflows and score each one — hours consumed, error cost, revenue impact — before recommending anything.

“We can’t judge the ROI claims”

Vendor decks promise the world. Our scoring separates what would genuinely pay in your operation from what merely demos well.

“We’re falling behind competitors”

Panic adoption wastes more than patience. A sequenced roadmap gets quick wins live in weeks while the bigger builds are scoped properly.

“Our data is a mess — can we even use AI?”

Usually yes, for more than you’d think. The assessment includes a data-readiness check that separates what’s usable today from what needs plumbing first.

What’s included

The full readiness assessment

Process & workflow mapping
Structured interviews and observation across sales, service, operations and admin — where the hours, errors and waiting actually happen.
Data & tooling audit
What your systems capture, where it lives, what’s connectable — the practical readiness check underneath every use case.
Scored opportunity roadmap
Each use case scored for payback, effort and risk, then sequenced into a 12-month roadmap with clear first pilots.
Pilot scoping & vendor guidance
The first project scoped to a fixed price — with honest build-vs-buy advice and no obligation to build with us.
Our methodology

How we assess AI readiness differently

Payback beats novelty

The best first AI project is usually unglamorous: the quotation that takes days, the enquiry answered too slowly, the report typed every Friday. We hunt payback, not headlines.

Process first, tools second

Automating a broken process just makes bad things happen faster. Where a workflow needs fixing before automating, the roadmap says so.

People are half the plan

Adoption fails on fear more than on technology. The roadmap covers who’s affected, what changes for them, and how their work upgrades rather than disappears.

Small proofs, then scale

One pilot, measured honestly, teaches more than a transformation programme. Every roadmap starts with a proof designed to pay for the next step.

MAD Auto Detailing’s automation stack — AI-handled WhatsApp conversations, automated bookings, a self-filling CRM — is what a readiness roadmap looks like after execution: 400–500 bookings a month running on processes that were mapped and prioritised before they were automated.

Clear pricing, no surprises

AI readiness is a fixed-scope engagement priced by the size and complexity of your operation — the departments, systems and workflows in scope. It’s deliberately affordable relative to what it prevents: the wrong AI project, bought at full price.

How we scope

Tell us your team size, industry and the three tasks that eat the most hours — we’ll confirm scope and return a fixed assessment price within two working days.

FAQ

Questions owners actually ask

Is my business too small for AI?
If you have repetitive tasks, waiting customers or manual data entry, you’re big enough — Malaysian SMEs often see faster payback than enterprises because decisions are quick and processes are short. The assessment scales down honestly; so does its price.
What does an AI readiness assessment cost?
A fixed price scoped to your operation’s size — most SME engagements run weeks, not months. Tell us your team size and systems and we’ll quote within two working days. The roadmap is yours regardless of who builds from it.
Will you just tell us to buy your AI services?
The roadmap frequently includes items we don’t sell — process fixes, off-the-shelf tools, staff training. Where we do propose our own build, it arrives scored and sequenced like everything else, with the business case attached. You’re free to take the roadmap anywhere.
What if our data isn’t ready?
That’s a finding, not a failure. Plenty of high-payback automations need little historical data — instant enquiry handling, document drafting, booking flows. The roadmap separates what’s buildable now from what waits on data plumbing, so nothing stalls.
How is this different from a free vendor consultation?
A vendor consultation is a sales call with homework. This is paid, vendor-neutral analysis of your operation, with a scored register and a sequenced roadmap — advice with no tool to sell you at the end of it.
What happens after the assessment?
You get the roadmap and a scoped first pilot. Most clients run the pilot — with us or in-house — measure it against the business case, and let the results fund the next step. That’s the pattern: proof, then scale.
